Wow now I FINALLY get to blog about stuff! Been quite a good day but in fact it has been a week since the wedding so I have yet to talk about it now. I must say that I am very Blessed beyond all measure to have some great friends at Messiah College. I am also very happy that I Finally got to go to a wedding at last. It has been a whole decade since I last went to a wedding. At that time I was only 12 years old so I barely understood anything at that time other than "You may now kiss the bride!" I remember then after the ceremony my parents dropped me back at home and then headed to the reception to celebrate with the friends. I only wished I knew and understood weddings back then. But I am happy I understand the weddings now at present day.

May 23 was the day I traveled from New Jersey to Lancaster County, PA for the wedding. It was an awesome drive as I was exploring new places. But something I didn't think would happen happened. When I was still in Reading my GPS died on me and I did not know where to go next. I had to exit the highway and get to a nearby hotel to access a computer. I got off to a Holiday Inn Express and Suites and the hotel manager allowed me to use the computer in which I used Google Maps to print the directions out. It was printed out and I felt more confident driving the rest of the way to Mount Joy, PA which was my destination. I drove and exit and finally started to flash some pictures of the area. It was Beautiful and New to me! I stopped and checked out some cars but also took pictures of the surroundings and had a great time. Perhaps I may go into Photography. We shall see. There were also stores where I stopped at and bought things for my house and other needs such as presents. I later arrived at Flick's house and got to reunite with the Awesome Crew alongside meeting new friends:)! It felt great even though it was night time and I had a long day.

May 24 was the Real Deal where in fact it was WEDDING DAY! The day 6 couples including Alex and Molly Flick got married. That morning we got breakfast from Sheetz together and after that we would all get ready separately. While Flick, Preston, Bri, and Dan went to the Farm I went to meetup with a friend to eat. After that I drove over to the barn about an hour before the ceremony even started and got to talk to some friends. It was a small spot but it was a Great Day. God sure answered the prayers for good weather and the Wedding started off Very well! The Pastor was awesome and said some great things as we all sat there laughing and listening. The ceremony itself lasted about 35-40 minutes and afterwards we waited around eating snacks until reception hour. The reception lasted from about 4:30 to 8:30. The menu was Mac and Cheese, Pork, Brisket, Buns, and Potato Salad. The drinks were lemonade and of course CHAMPAGNE! There wasn't that much dancing but I sure got to enjoy the outside weather and the lawn games. Then the rain was slowly coming down at about 8:30 when we were all preparing to leave. Around that time was also when my back started to wear out on me which was not good. I quickly drove to a store to buy some medicine and also bought a treat and the headed back to the house where I was then lying down on the couch with a heating pad. Good thing I stayed another night! But seriously thanks to Flick's parents, aunt, uncle, and brother and Sophie for helping me that night!

May 25 was the day I would leave Lancaster was bittersweet. My back was a bit better that morning but not fully recovered yet. I prayed that God was gonna protect me as I drove. That same morning I saw Flick and Molly as they came to open there presents. It was good to see them all newly wed for a day. They left to go see Molly's family and afterwards I packed and began my long drive home. Seriously I felt that I had a GREAT weekend Ever! It will always be memorable. I seriously want to Thank the Flick's, Preston, Bri, Dan, Sophie, Molly, and many others for helping me out that weekend. All of you are Awesome! Flick and Molly I wish you many awesome years to come! Have a Great one on your Honeymoon!

Wow What a Long Busy Week! It has been a Awesome and Crazy Month! To start out with Messiah College had Graduation May 17, 2014! I am very proud of them and happy that they graduated and are now in the real world. Next year I shall be one of those graduates. Next events were a Wedding and right after the wedding it was a Family Vacation! Whew I travelled around New Jersey and Pennsylvania a whole ton this whole week and I sure am tired from all this. But I have to say this was a good way to end the month as I am glad that I had many opportunities and great times. Memories are made and I sure gotta enjoy it. Whew More of the awesomeness will be talked about in my next posts.

Quite Frankly, I have been slacking off on blogging as summer is coming around. At the present day I really want to see some of my friends I haven't seen in almost a year. Plus I plan on resting and also exercising a good amount. I have been having back problems lately. My back out of nowhere was starting to give up on me towards the end of the wedding. As I was leaving it felt like it was going to stop functioning and I was going to fall over. I prayed and luckily it calmed down. I had been taking Advil and trying to sleep in the right position ever since. Gotta be careful as my parents had back problems since college and they do not want that to happen for me.

I meant to want to update this a few days ago but I hadn't because its been a rough week. Things are often planned by people but don't always go as expected. As a result it often makes life complicated and frustrating. Well to begin with something with the Social Work department did not go as planned. It therefore got me frustrated. Suddenly the rougher patches began. Not only was it not as planned but the professors were giving me a hard time on some assignments I was doing. It was upsetting that it completely changed my mood. I was also not doing as well on some of the other issues in Field Placement which was making things worse. This then put me into a terrible mood and I was turning into something I was not. I even became so jealous of other people in the Social Work Department which was not a good thing and right now I still am and that is not good at all.

In the Social Work Department a majority of the people in the major are women. The ratio in the classes for men to women always seem to be 1:15 which is sometimes pressure. I am among the oldest in the class and one of the very few guys in the class which gets to be pressure point. I often feel that I have to do much better than everyone does in class and grade wise just because of being those. I can't even be in Honors Society nor get the kind of GPA that I wish for which sucks up. I had often been thinking that none of them had to go through what I went through Freshman Year in which I have not fully recovered from just yet. But it does not do me any good as I still envy others. Sometimes this comes a time where I will have to persevere. Real seriously I just thank some of my awesome friends for helping me through. I am slowly feeling better and will hopefully get through this.

Wow April sure has been a lively month and I had a great time. To recap some big events I have had some good moments. I am now 22 years old as of 8 days ago and I sure am enjoying every moment of it so far. I also want to say that I sure am blessed beyond all measure for the awesome people in my life. Ever since Freshman Year I have always been wanting a roommate that I could be close with and even a family that could make me feel like I was family. 2 years later I finally found those and I am also more set with my life than I used to be. I have to say I really can't believe that some things work out later and I sure am glad for it.

To start off a few days before my 22nd Birthday I went on down to Maryland with Preston and Dan. I drove them down and there we chilled at Preston's. During that time I quickly got cat allergies and was just sneezing. That night I took some Benadryll and it knocked me out rather quickly. I fell asleep and it was a great sleep. I also had dreams of Preston and other people in my life which was quite interesting. The next day I went with Preston and Dan to see what they were doing. The big part was they were getting Tattoos. While watching them get the tattoos I realized how interesting it was the tattoo artists were doing work. I started to then to a survey of who has a tattoo and why? Preston and Dan's tattoos were pretty much perfect even though it was scary for me to sometimes watch. After that we went to eat lunch at Taco Bell, went to the DMV, and then to Target. I started to think that Bel Air sure is beautiful and much different than my town. It is also different than the town Messiah is in because of the fact that Messiah is somehow in the middle of nowhere. When we got back home I received so many chats from my family across the Pacific Ocean and in California. It was great chatting with them and as the hours ticked down I was feeling old kind of.

The next day it was my Birthday and I was 22. I woke up to a good surprise though. Preston crawled down the hallway and went to the room I was sleeping in. When he was at the front he turned on the song 22 by Taylor Swift and slid his IPhone through the door and the music started playing. I was half asleep and woke up saying "Where is the music coming from?" Preston then jumped out and said Happy Birthday to me. The day was overall a great day. I did some homework and went outside with Preston and the awesome people. While they played basketball I went out riding his bike and I wore a helmet this time. It was a beautiful day to ride and enjoy the weather. An hour later we did some landscaping and I learned how to clean the pool. Later that same day we went out to eat Chinese Food and I made my speech in which I showed I loved others and my roommates. After dinner we went bowling in which I met Allison and Steph who were Preston's friends from Bel Air. We later went on to eat ice cream and hung out in the parking lots and later their house. It was a great time overall and I had a great day.

The day after my Birthday we went to a Mega Church for Easter which was quite awesome. After that we went on back to Preston's house where we chilled and did some homework. I ended up falling asleep for about half an hour while doing homework but later woke up to go outside to see what was going on. Later, we ate delicious Easter meal and got Easter presents from the Easter bunny. It was the First Easter present I ever had in my entire life and I was happy. First time for everything in life haha. That night we went into bed for the final night and we were not ready to go back to school yet. The next day we woke up and ate good breakfast. Afterwards we packed and drove on back to Messiah in the AM after pictures times. It was a great weekend overall and it felt great to be 22. I sure am blessed to have the best roommates ever alongside Dan who will join the line next year. Also thankful for Preston's family, Bri, Molly, Lauren, Alexis, and a couple other friends.

This month of April has been so great thus far. At times this month could be busy as I have 2 projects that I have to be doing. But a good recap of the month has its Great Times :)! So I have gotten to finally go to Capital City Mall and shop around. I also watched God's Not Dead on the same day and it was great! But I have to say I have controversial thoughts about some parts. When Professor Radisson dies it was kind of unnecessary to have that part in it. But according to online reviews they did not want to make the movie so much longer than it already was. I want to change that part to when he arrives at the concert and accepts Christ. But overall that movie I would give it a 9/10.

Last weekend my apartment hosted 3 awesome men who came for Little Sibs Weekend. When they arrived we hung out in the apartment and chilled for a while. Later, Alexis came back to visit and a whole filled apartment with me, Preston, Dan, Bri, and Lauren minus Flick and Molly watched an awesome movie. The next day we went to Spring Shabing and it was quite an awesome time. It was also my very very first time going as I had never been to one before. That day was also Game Day at Messiah in which it was an Awesome and Not Boring weekend at Messiah. There was a Baseball Game and a Track Meet. While at the baseball game I sat with some awesome friends such as some of MWS and watched the men Play Ball. They did well overall and Won the game. After that I went back to hang out with my roommates and sibs and we went for a barbeque cookout eating delicious food. That same night we went Laser Tagging and played 2 awesome rounds. I did not do well in that as it was my first time playing the game.

The next day, the sibs left and the apartment was quite empty. But it was homework time and I had to do a lot of homework and readings. I often wondered why couldn't EVERY weekend be like this? I felt so blessed beyond all measure to have these friends in my life and I sure am thankful I treasured this moment of time as much. At present time I am down here in Maryland with half of the crew enjoying the weekend off of School. It has been great and I can't Wait for whats to come. In fact tomorrow I turn 22 so we will be going out to eat. I wonder where all the time has gone now?! Should be a great time overall and I can't wait to celebrate more!

It has been a while since I have updated it again. But alongside this it has been a long rough and tough month since I last wrote. Now the Spring is drawing by and I sure am happy that the weather is going to get better. It has been a brutal and cruel Winter this year with all the snow and ice. Good news is we won't see Winter for another 9 months or so. This should be a good part if that doesn't happen for a while. But aside from that college years seem to be closing in quick. I realized that after this year I have a whole year left of college and I am going to be done! What time has flown by? I still remember my parents telling me what my grandpa said. My Grandpa who at that time was 72 told my parents around the time of their wedding that the next 50+ years or so are going to fly by very fast they would be looking back rather than looking ahead. Looks like this may be happening for me in the future too.

During the last month February had not been a great time for me. I had suffered multiple depressions from various occurances around me. Moreoff, school had gotten on me which was annoying. The worst part was there was a first time for everything. My dream back in Middle School and first year of High School had come true which was not a pleasant moment. One Friday in February I was just very upset and hurting because of how my depression went up. I got out of my room to hang out with people in the Union and that didn't make me feel better. After the hangout time I got out and rode my bike fast in order to vent my anger out. It did not do me any good as while going down the hill I sped faster and screamed. What I did not expect was there was just a sheet of black ice in the Mellinger parking lots and BAM! I blacked out and next thing you know I wake up some seconds later and I am on the floor off my bike. I got up walked my bike to the bike rack by my apartment and went inside. My shoulder and arm were just hurting and that moment came the choice where I called Dispatch to help. They sent in EMT's and 5 security officers. They checked on me and I was okay but was put in a sling which made me unable to do a lot as I was right handed.

The next couple of weeks would be very difficult for me because of the fact that I had struggled to write and I had to sit out of Gym Class. But many people such as my roommates were helping me out. I went through many physical therapy appointments to get my arm and shoulder together. I had to do arm and shoulder exercises in order for the blood circulation to get through. It was a tough one and I was not allowed to ride my bike for a long while. Being in a sling had prevented me from a normal life and I regretted my choice. I was suffering depression and now trying to recover. Eventually a few days before Spring Break I was finally able to get cleared up to be out of my sling and out and about. Spring Break had then been a needed time for me as I was away from campus and back home living with peace in my mind. Though I have been back the semester has been busy. But I can do it and I know I will keep on persevering.

A lot of events have been going on here at Messiah. The Rarest part is how all of last week had been shortened. Monday and Wednesday we had class cancellations in which it was an odd part because it was rare. But Monday it snowed terribly hard that they could not clear up the roads for the professors to come nor was it safe for students to walk. Wednesday it had a ice and rain storm that it was terrible road conditions whereas classes were to be cancelled again as it was dangerous. So those 2 days I spent chilling and at one point on Monday we built a snowman. I was happy that I had those days off as I got to do my own thing. But suddenly when classes finally began we had to catch up. Such a pain but it was all worth it.

For the past few days, I had oddly spent at least 6 hours or more OUT of my Apartment which was my beloved Mellinger Apartment whew. The parking lots behind it is called Mellinger Court as it reminds me of my street since I live in a Cul-DeSac. While my street is going straight left going to Mellinger is going straight right. It kind of does look like my street when I step outside and it is awesome. But anyways, I spent a lot of time out in the Union and around campus hanging out with different friends or spending time to myself. There really does come times where you have to take time away from others to find out about yourself. Saturday I spent time hanging out with Drake, Heisey and John. We watched awesome movies and made trips across campus together. I would sleepover that same night and went to church the next day in Athlete dressup style. But now Sunday till present day I had been able to see some of my awesome friends Flick, Preston, Bri, Molly, Dan and more. I will definitely try to spend more time being around in the apartment and not away so much. And No I do NOT think I am too cool for you guys haha.

Yesterday was the most craziest day which affected me both physically and mentally. But I sure learned some more for the sake of myself. I left my apartment at about 3:45 and went to my friends car. I then picked Ellen up and drove over to Field Placement in Harrisburg and then drove back for my Night Class. After class I drove Kayla and Kathy back to the other side of Campus as we live in Mellinger. However, coming to the Witmer lots I tried to get into a spot but the car was stuck due to the ice and snow on the ground. They got out to help me push the car as I put it in reverse but was unable to after 5 tries. We then called P-Safety to come and dig it out and he put salt underneath and instructed me on what to do with it such as turning the steering wheel and others. After a couple of tries 2 wrestlers came and helped push the car out and I was instructed to park the car down at Starry where then Kayla, Kathy and I would walk back to Mellinger from there. Whew I was out of the apartment for about 6 hours but I sure am glad I didn't break the car or anything. Well more awesome events happening this week and I sure am looking forward to the dance Saturday Night.

Sunday, January 19, 2014

Wow it has really been such a long time since I last updated this blog. This is not good. Well now that it is currently 2014 I want to share the Top 10 highlights of 2013.

1. Finally Raising my GPA to a 3.0. I have been working so hard for this and now this Fall I was able to achieve it. I have been through so much these years and this was all worth it and it honestly felt great to finally have it come to be.

2. Field Placements for Social Work. I am told to complete 50 hours per semester in order to pass and make it a good experience for my future career. As I interned at Harrisburg I was able to learn more about myself and find a way to solve my own problems. There may be challenges in the future careers and I am more willing to face it.

3. Changing jobs at Messiah College. I changed from being a Student Worker at Lottie to being a worker at Catering and later on a Student Traffic Officer and this was a Dream come True job as I always dreamed of being an FBI agent back then. I realized I also dressed up and looked like an FBI agent from Without a Trace.

4. Having 2 different jobs during the summer. I was able to get experience working with the elderly and also cleaning basketball facilities alongside making new friends this summer. It sure was great to meet them as I was able to learn more about myself and start going uphill in life. I sure won't ever forget lessons learned this summer.

5. Watching the Soccer Teams do Work. As a Student Traffic Officer I was able to watch the Men's and Women's Soccer games in close view and also direct the traffic across the Covered Bridge. It was really something I felt happy that I accomplished alongside watching the Men's team go down to San Antonio to win!

6. Turning 21 and able to do the big things. I was able to reunite with many friends this summer at parties in May at Brian Duran's and the Independence Day Weekend with Fales and Crew and friends at Clayton's which was super fun. I drank legally  as well as going to bars. But I kept in my mind to make sure I drank responsibly and I had a great time with people.

7. Going to a Baseball Game. This year going to a baseball game was the first I've been to in about 6 years. I had a lot of fun and it was a great time of my life.

8. Living in an Apartment on Campus. I was able to experience something WAY different than living in a dorm. It was a lot more freedom and I was able to put my cooking skills into place alongside grocery shopping and making my own meals. I sure am thankful to live with 2 awesome men and make some new awesome friends.

9. Going back to Church more frequently. Must admit for the past 3-4 years or so I've been slipping away from church but many blessings came from God and I felt I should try to go back more. Church has been helping me out with my life and I felt I have been going uphill. I had opportunities to serve and help out alongside meeting the pastors who are awesome and influential.

10. Losing a good amount of Weight. I was able to exercise a good amount and went on losing up to 15 lbs as well as looking a lot better. It was a relief and I am trying to make sure I eat healthy and stay healthy.

What will you all remember about 2013?
